The Philosophy of Destruction

I'd intended my first post to be a bit more, uh, substantive (I have thoughts stored up on Pynchon, Murakami, and nostalgia via Kundera -- I have an hour-long commute and fly a lot these days, which means I'm doing a lot of reading!).
